The Chrysanthemum is a popular flower in Japanese tattooing. Because of its connection to the Imperial Family, the 16-petal daisy is recognized as a royal emblem. The flower is frequently pictured with long, narrow petals that curve upward from the center. There is a national holiday called Chrysanthemum Day in Japan. It is one of the five sacred ancient festivals. They celebrate this day on the 9th day of the 9th month.
